Composition:
Each ml contains
Bupernorphine (base) 0.3mg
as Hydrochloride
Uses:
A potent analgesic for moderate to severe pain
Contra-indications:
Dorgesic injection has no absolute contra-indications, however care should be taken when treating a patient with impaired respiration, because it has antagonist properties. It may percipitate mild withdrawal symptoms in narcotic addicts. Dorgesic Injection may cause some drowsiness this could be potentiated by other centrally acting agents including alcohol Contra-indicated in impaired liver function.
It should be used with caution in patients receiving Monoamine Oxidase inhibitors and it is not recomended during pregnancy.
Warnings:
Ambulant Patients should be warned not to drive or operate machinery.
Side Effects:
Nausea, Vomitting, Dizziness, Sweating & Drowsiness have been reported and may be more frequent in ambulant patients. Clinically significant respiratory depression has been observed rarely & in post operative period.
